The Major Arcana is a set of 22 cards (usually included in a classic 78 card tarot deck). But is is not broken up into suits like the other 56 cards. It is considered to be the base, or foundation for the entire tarot, as it shows the story of us, and the lessons and challenges that we face throughout life right up until the end.

That is just a very brief description of the Major Arcana, just like these are just some simple key words and phrases that I think of when I glance over each Major card. The deck I use in my examples are from the Dreaming Way Tarot by Rome Choi, Illustrated by Kwon Shina.
